3. HOW'S THE MARKET?

As expected, we’re beginning to see things pick up in the Sea Isle City Real Estate market. I have noticed a surge in showings to my listings and 6 units have gone under contract in just the past 14 days.

We traditionally see buying activity increase this time of year. With the Feds being very open about cutting interest rates, I am anticipating a very busy fall!

MORTGAGE UPDATE

As we discussed last month, the 10-year Treasury yield approached the 3.8% mark, closing at 3.8748% on August 28, 2024. Interest rates improved by about 0.25% across most programs. The Federal Reserve hinted at a potential rate cut during the upcoming September 18 meeting. If the jobs report on September 6 shows increased unemployment, the Fed might reduce rates by 50 basis points instead of 25.

On another note, if you know any first-time home buyers, they might qualify for up to $22,000 in down payment assistance. Contact me for more details.
